Designing and choosing your wedding cake: |

Although it’s traditional to have fruit cake at a wedding, more and more couples are opting for something different, not everyone likes fruit cake and some of us ‘chocoholics’ have evolved! Cakes can be made in various flavours with various recipes and most dietary needs can now be catered for. If a family member or friend would like to make your cake I do offer a decoration only service. |

When you have arranged to visit me I will show you the vast portfolio of cakes I have done. Bring along with you any samples of colours/fabrics you may have and if you know what type of flowers or florist you may be using bring this information too. I will need a rough guide to how many guests you anticipate, and if you have any other ‘themes’ for your special day. Using any existing ideas you may have (though not necessary), and/or looking through my portfolios and books, we will design your cake together. Don’t panic if you have no idea whatsoever of the sort of cake you want, I can help! Together we will ensure your cake captures everything your day entails and becomes a centre piece to be proud of at your reception (which you can then cut together as you first joint task as husband & wife!). |
